Rockstar recently released the “Goodtime State – Vice City Collection” collectible box for Grand Theft Auto VI, priced at a hefty $399.99 USD—but here’s the awkward part: this so-called collector’s edition doesn’t actually include the GTA 6 game itself. Inside you’ll find Oakley sunglasses, a hat, a Leonida map, stickers, a spoon, and a figurine of the game’s fictional TV character “Macca the Gator”—but if you want to play the game, you’ll have to buy it separately.

Players Aren’t Buying It: I’ll Just Print My Own Crocodile
This pink Macca the Gator wearing a blue shirt and holding a joint and martini was one of the main figurines in the collection box. But shortly after Rockstar revealed the collectible, a player remade it as a 3D model and uploaded it to a 3D printing platform, letting other players print their own. The fan-made model is already available for download, and the cost is less than two bucks—completely different world from the original collector’s box.

Best Part: The Model Has a Direct Insult to Rockstar on the Bottom
What’s even better is this player wasn’t just trying to save money. The bottom of the model has a message directed at Rockstar: “US$400 and still no disc?” The creator also mentioned on the model page that they’re quite unhappy about the collector’s box price and the fact that GTA 6 won’t have a physical disc release at launch. The model itself is about 16cm tall, and players can make it themselves using a resin 3D printer.

You Don’t Have to Spend $400 for the Gator, But You’ll Still Pay for Printing
Of course, 3D printing yourself isn’t completely cost-free—you’ll still need a 3D printer, materials, and finishing, and if you just want to collect it, you’ll end up with another pink crocodile in your house. But at least you won’t have to fork out US$400 just for a figurine. Even more awkward: Rockstar’s collector’s box is still sold as a complete set, with no option to buy the Macca figurine separately, and the GTA 6 game itself must be purchased separately. The debate over whether the “US$400 is worth it” will likely keep burning.
