The craziest life simulation MMO! “Seed” allows characters to still work and make friends after offline, and society will still function.

What would it look like if we combined the life simulation of “The Sims” with the social management of “RimWorld” and made it into an MMO?

The answer may be Seed. This new life simulation MMO created by former “EVE Online” developers focuses on a world that operates 24 hours a day. Even if players are offline, characters will still live, work, make friends, and even promote the continued development of the entire society. GamesRadar even described it as like a combination of “The Sims” and “RimWorld”.

Going offline is not a pause, the character will live his own life!

The biggest feature of “Seed” is that all characters belong to the players, but the world will never stop functioning. Players can start by cutting down trees and building houses, slowly build villages, and finally develop into huge cities. In the process, you can also create a company, rent out a house, hire other player characters to work, and even build a complete real estate and economic system. What’s even more special is that the characters will continue to complete their work and maintain their lives even after the player is offline. Their daily actions can be arranged by sending commands through the mobile phone function.

The real society is built by players

“Seed” does not have the NPC society common in traditional MMOs. Each resident is a character created by the player. Officials stated that the economy, occupations, buildings, and even the entire social order in the game will be established and maintained by players. Characters will learn skills, find jobs, build relationships, and may also change the direction of the entire society due to resource shortages, political conflicts and other events. The development team even revealed that during the closed beta period, a “bread supply crisis” triggered a regime change, which shows that the entire simulation system is quite in-depth.

Want to create a real “Second Life”

Seed has been in development for over ten years and is now in Early Access. The development team hopes to create not just another MMO, but a virtual society where players can build a civilized and long-term life together.

If the life simulation of “The Sims”, the social system of “RimWorld”, and the player economy of “EVE Online” can be successfully integrated, “Seed” may really have a chance to become one of the most ambitious simulation games in recent years.
