A “Star Wars” action RPG that has been canceled for more than a year has recently suddenly leaked a live video, and the content is even more heartbreaking for players. This work, internally codenamed “Star Wars: Magellan”, was reportedly developed by Echtra Games. It was originally an ARPG focusing on multiplayer cooperation. As a result, it was buried in history when the studio closed. Now that the videos in the former developer’s portfolio have been unearthed, players can finally see what this “unsalvageable” game looks like.

Judging from the leaked content, “Star Wars: Magellan” originally allowed players to control Jedi and Mandalorians, and the two fighting methods are completely different. Jedi can use Lightsaber for melee attacks, combined with the Force ability; Mandalorian relies on Jetpack to fight with guns. The game is positioned closer to a “Shoot & Loot” multiplayer ARPG, and plans to add a system for establishing relationships with NPCs. To put it simply, it is to stuff all the most popular elements of “Star Wars” into a cooperative grinding game, which is indeed a pity now.

“Star Wars: Magellan” was reportedly originally expected to be released on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and even had a fairly complete display of character actions and gameplay, but was eventually canceled when Echtra Games closed down.
