Rockstar is taking Grand Theft Auto VI promotion to a whole new level! The official announcement revealed a partnership with the NBA’s Miami Heat for a special event called “A Night in Vice City” ahead of the game’s launch — transforming the real-world Miami Heat into “Vice City Heat.” This special game happens November 18 at Kaseya Center, with the Heat hosting the Milwaukee Bucks. Interestingly, the very next day is Grand Theft Auto VI’s global launch.
The Entire Court Floor Is Getting a Vice City Makeover!
This isn’t just about hanging a few advertisements. Kaseya Center will be fully decked out in Vice City themes, and even the basketball court will feature specially made “Vice City hardwood”. The Heat will wear brand new limited-edition jerseys for the night, with the entire team officially entering Vice City mode. The venue will also feature a series of “special activities” and game-themed experiences, though full details haven’t been revealed yet — so keep your eyes peeled.

Not Just the Arena — Merchandise Too
Since they’ve already turned the NBA team into Vice City Heat, of course there’s merchandise. The official “Vice City Collection” has already launched, featuring t-shirts and crop tops. Some t-shirts retail for $55. So Rockstar didn’t just buy ad space — they’ve turned an entire NBA game into a massive real-life Grand Theft Auto VI promotional event. Even fans can take Vice City home with them.

November 18 Becomes Vice City Night
Official descriptions call this an “unprecedented” event, and based on the scale revealed so far, it’s hard to dismiss as just another typical game partnership. After all, Grand Theft Auto VI’s setting is literally Vice City — inspired by Florida and Miami. Now even the real-world Miami Heat is playing along. What’s even more interesting is that this game features Giannis Antetokounmpo (newly joined to the Heat) facing his former team, the Bucks. Rockstar has basically connected the game, the city, the NBA, and merchandise all in one massive crossover.
