Now modder SimMattically has taken matters into their own hands, creating a mod called “The Immersive World Map” that completely transforms the world selection screen into a full map, connecting all the game’s worlds together.

The most impressive thing about this mod is that it’s not just a pretty background image — it redesigns the entire world selection interface, connecting each neighborhood’s geography to one another. From Chestnut Ridge to San Myshuno, different worlds are placed on a single map, separated by oceans into different “continents.” It’s far more intuitive than the original click-through world selection screen.
EA Might Be a Little Embarrassed?
The creator studied the real-world locations that each game world is based on, then rearranged them according to culture, climate, and geography to make the map feel sensible. The mod is currently in Early Access, and many players are already calling it one of the best The Sims 4 mods out there. It also supports custom world map replacements. Players got what they wanted made — if EA really never had plans for this, they might be getting a bit of a lesson from their own community.
