Disney Finally Digs Up Toy Story 3 Remake Plus a Whole Collection of Retro Classics

Whenever game announcements drop, players usually stay calm. But this time, longtime fans are actually losing it. Atari and Digital Eclipse officially revealed Toy Story 3: Complete Edition, the classic 2010 title is making a comeback to modern platforms, paired with Toy Story: Retro Roundup! Both releasing October 15, 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, Switch, and PC.

What Really Got Fans Hyped: Toy Box Mode

When talking about Toy Story 3, many players first think not of the movie mode but the Toy Box mode. This mode let players build towns, take quests, unlock facilities, even create their own toy world. Back when open world games were not everywhere, Toy Box already had sandbox vibes, earning it “underrated gem” status among fans. The Complete Edition adds upgraded resolution and performance, plus previously PS3-exclusive content including playable Zurg.

Not Just a Remake But All Your Childhood Games Bundled

Beyond the Toy Story 3 remake, the team also dropped Toy Story: Retro Roundup. This collection features multiple 90s and early 2000s Toy Story classics, including Toy Story, Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue, and Toy Story Racer, updated with rewind, save states, and HD visuals.

Disney Finally Remembers They Have These Games

Funny enough, many Disney classic games have been essentially missing in action for years. While movies and animations keep getting new releases, old games stayed locked away. With Toy Story turning 30, Disney finally decided to bring these classics back. Some games are about story, others are about childhood. Toy Story 3 is definitely the latter.
