Gigabyte’s new Brix mini desktop is here! Equipped with Intel Core Ultra 9 386H, the memory can be stuffed up to 128GB is gaining traction fast, and early community reaction suggests this one has real momentum.
As with major stories across retro and modern gaming, the key details are in how players are responding, how the platform owners move next, and whether this remains a short spike or a longer trend.

Jia recently put a new Brix mini desktop on its official website. The model is called GB-BRU9-386H. The platform uses Intel Panther Lake and the processor is Core Ultra 9 386H. The most eye-catching thing about this machine is not only that it is small and square, but that it actually has a memory limit of 128GB in this mini desktop size. To put it bluntly, this thing does not seem to be used for pure gaming, but more like it is for people who want a small size, but also want to pack high memory and dual M.2.

The body is small, but the specifications are not too polite
This Brix uses a small body of 112.6 x 34.4 x 119.4 mm, and it is barebone specifications, which means it does not include an operating system when leaving the factory. Gigabyte is not just throwing another ordinary mini computer onto the shelves this time, but directly stuffing the Panther Lake platform into this ultra-small size, making the overall positioning obviously closer to high-end mini desktop computers.

One of the most noteworthy aspects of this machine is its memory support. GIGABYTE lists it as supporting:
- 2 SO-DIMM DDR5
- up to 96GB
- Speed up to 5600 MT/s
- 2 CSO-DIMM DDR5
- Up to 128GB
- Speed up to 6400 MT/s
- The storage part provides:
- 2 x M.2 2280 slots
- 1 supports PCIe 5.0 x4
- 1 supports PCIe 4.0 x4
In terms of connection ports, this Brix is also pretty good. The specifications listed in the original article include:
- 2 USB4
- 3 個 USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
- 1 USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C (power input)
- 1 USB 2.0
- Dual HDMI 2.1
- 2.5GbE LAN
- Headphone jack
- Wi‑Fi 7
And it can also output 4 screens at a time through two sets of HDMI plus two sets of USB4 Type-C (supports DisplayPort Alt Mode). For people who have to do multiple jobs, watch the market, monitor, or work in a small work environment, this is actually more practical than simply running scores.
Core Ultra 9 386H itself is not weak either.
As for this Core Ultra 9 386H, the original article mentioned that it is a 16-core Panther Lake processor, and the configuration is:
- 4 performance cores
- 8 顆 Efficient cores
- 4 顆 Low Power Efficient cores
Specifications also include:
- Up to 4.9GHz boost
- Supports up to 128GB memory
- 50 TOPS NPU
- Built-in Intel Graphics
- 4 個 Xe-cores
- iGPU clock up to 2.5GHz
However, this processor uses a relatively small internal display configuration, not the larger Panther Lake version, nor the Arc B390 level. In other words, it has certain graphics capabilities, but the focus is obviously not on “using it to compete with 3A”.
It looks more like a small work machine than a game console
At present, Gigabyte has not announced the price, nor has it given a time to market. However, the official website has listed that it supports Windows 11 64-bit and Ubuntu 25.10, and comes with a 140W USB-C power supply. Judging from the overall specifications, this Brix is obviously more suitable for multi-tasking environments of small work machines.
