Release Game Footage If No Physical Disc?! GTA VI Leaker Threatens Rockstar Again, Vows to Release Full Game

Grand Theft Auto VI is getting closer to its official release, but game leaks continue to surface. Recently, online insider Cyberleek has issued another threat, claiming to have a complete playable version of the game from start to finish, including the entire single-player story mode and credits. They stated that they will release this game version once their cryptocurrency token reaches a $30 million market cap. This claim remains unverified, and there is no independent confirmation whether they actually possess a complete playable version.

Release Physical Discs and Issue Public Apology?

Cyberleek has also set conditions for Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar’s parent company, demanding the company release a physical disc version of the game and issue a public apology, or they may release the so-called complete game. They’ve previously criticized digital pre-orders and physical boxes that only include download codes, arguing players should truly own the games they purchase. However, illegally obtaining or distributing game content is not the same as promoting game preservation and consumer rights. The game preservation group Stop Killing Games has also criticized Cyberleek’s approach, noting that expressing demands through illegal means doesn’t truly protect player rights.

Recent Wave of Game Footage Leaks, Team Under Massive Pressure

This controversy didn’t emerge suddenly. Cyberleek has recently released multiple clips of unreleased GTA VI gameplay, including one approximately 24 minutes long showcasing first-person perspective, character interactions, and in-game racing, followed by more clips claiming to be from the game. Rockstar Games previously stated that the leaks have broken the development team’s hearts, warning players that unreleased footage may contain major story spoilers. Whether Cyberleek will actually release the complete game remains unconfirmed; but if such content exists and gets distributed, it could not only affect player experience but also create greater security and legal issues for the development team.
