Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 “Override” continues its crossover madness, this time bringing classic arcade game PAC-MAN into the battle. Epic Games and Bandai Namco have announced new crossover content—players can now find PAC-MAN themed locations on the island and encounter the Mecha Ghost mini-boss, which drops high-tier Mythic loot when defeated.
Not Just Seeing PAC-MAN—You Can Actually Have It Follow You?
This crossover also introduces a PAC-MAN Sprite based on Blinky, plus a PAC-MAN Sidekick that actually follows players around. The Sprite provides special passive abilities, while the Sidekick accompanies players during combat with exclusive emotes, arcade sounds, and music. Put simply, whereas PAC-MAN used to be you chasing ghosts in a maze, now the ghosts are chasing players instead.
Dropping September 19
From September 19-25, players can purchase the limited-time PAC-MAN Sidekick from the Fortnite Item Shop, along with a full arcade-style bundle including PAC-MAN Back Bling, PAC-MAN Gloves Pickaxe, and new Kicks footwear. The Back Bling also switches between cherry, orange, and Galaxian patterns as players eliminate enemies.
This is just the latest in Fortnite’s seemingly endless parade of crossovers. With Chapter 7 already featuring everything from Marvel characters to Star Wars, the addition of PAC-MAN continues Epic’s strategy of turning the game into a true multimedia playground.
