A physics-based game from two developers called Worming from Home just launched on Steam. You play as a worm working from home, with the ultimate goal of working your way up to becoming a “Senior Financial Analyst.” The story begins with a call from your boss — after six years, you finally see a promotion opportunity, but you need to increase your output, prove you can handle more responsibilities, and avoid letting your coworkers discover your true identity.
This Game Is Basically Corporate Life Simulator
The work tasks are painfully realistic. Players need to process coworker emails and fill out spreadsheets from the task board. Some tasks even require exploring the room to find documents, along with math calculations and pattern recognition. Some work has strict deadlines — players must control the worm to crawl around the room and reach specific locations in time, with the physics simulation directly affecting movement and control.

You Cant Even Relax After Work!
After finally clocking out, players still need to maintain their “worm life balance” — you can work out, read, shop, and even unlock various hat-based cosmetic outfits. But the game clearly doesn’t want players to be model employees. You can flirt with coworkers, and even use insider company information to manipulate stock trades. In short, level up your career during the day, then challenge workplace ethics at night.
