Escape from Playtime made its debut at the Gamescom 2026 Future Games Show, marking the first look at this co-op survival horror game set in the Poppy Playtime universe. The game supports up to 4 players online, putting you in control of the Smiling Critters from Poppy Playtime: Chapter 3 as you explore an abandoned Playtime Co. factory searching for resources and materials.
These Tiny Toys Are Now Prey in a Deadly Factory
This factory is far from a safe toy paradise. Players must navigate warehouses, laboratories, and dark corridors, solving puzzles and finding tools while avoiding other abandoned Playtime Co. creations. Since you control the smaller Critters, you’ll also be able to squeeze through and access areas that were previously hard to reach.

Co-op Is Great, But Your Team Might Betray You First
Proximity voice chat plays a huge role in Escape from Playtime, where communication is essential for solving puzzles together. But here’s the catch — you and your friends aren’t the only ones listening. The developers specifically warn that something might be eavesdropping on your conversations, so even something as simple as “hey, you go left” could become a death sentence.

With its unique blend of co-op puzzle-solving and tense horror atmosphere, Escape from Playtime looks set to expand the Poppy Playtime universe in an exciting new direction. The game promises to test not just your problem-solving skills, but also your trust in your teammates — and that’s before whatever’s listening makes its move.
