Once rated as one of the AAA games with the lowest Metacritic score in 2025, “MindsEye” has now decided to lower the bar to attract players back. Officially announced that from now until July 20, Steam players can experience the game for free and play some content without purchasing. It is hoped that through major updates in recent months, players’ confidence can be regained.

“MindsEye” was developed by Build A Rocket Boy, founded by former “Grand Theft Auto V” producer Leslie Benzies. When it was launched last year, it was severely criticized by players due to a large number of bugs, performance issues and insufficient game content. It once became one of the worst-reviewed masterpieces of the year. However, the official has not given up. Over the past year, it has continued to launch corrections, updates, new content and Arcadia mode. Taking advantage of this free weekend, it is hoped that more players can experience the current version for themselves instead of staying with the impressions they had at the launch.
