It’s not a memory kill, it’s a plug-in kill! Call of Duty: Black Ops is out of control within days of release

“Call of Duty: Black Ops” and “Call of Duty: Black Ops II” have only been released on PS4 and PS5 a few days ago. Many players were originally looking forward to revisiting the classics. Unexpectedly, just a few days after they were released, the multiplayer mode was compromised by a large number of cheats and XP bugs. Some people were even deducted negative experience points because of this, and they could not even play the game, forcing Activision to Quickly turn off some modes and roll out fixes.

It’s not that I’m being abused, it’s that I simply can’t play!

According to player reports, there are currently a variety of vicious loopholes in the game, including quickly reaching the full level through self-destruction, modifying levels, permanently unlocking content, and the most exaggerated “negative XP” loophole. After some players killed specific cheating players, their character experience points directly turned into negative numbers, causing their accounts to drop below level 1, and they even became unable to enter multiplayer mode normally. As a result, the entire matchmaking environment has become a mess. In many matches, people continue to self-explode to gain experience as soon as the matches begin, making it almost impossible for normal players to have a good match.

Seeing that the situation was deteriorating rapidly, Activision urgently announced the suspension of some multiplayer modes and launched the first phase of server repairs. At the same time, players affected by negative XP were restored to level 20, allowing players to level up normally again.

Classic returns and becomes a plug-in paradise

Many players originally thought that this relaunched version adopted new servers and could finally get rid of the cheating problems of the old version of “Call of Duty: Black Ops” for many years. Unexpectedly, it fell completely in just a few days. Although Activision has begun to patch the bugs, there are still players who believe that multiplayer mode is still some way away from truly returning to normal.

It can only be said that what everyone is looking forward to is to relive their youth, not to relive the nightmare of cheating all over the place. Now, although Activision has started to put out the fire as soon as possible, if the plug-in problem cannot be completely solved, it will be difficult to retain players no matter how classic the work is.
