“Dragon Age (Dragon Age/Dragon Age)” has stumbled along the way in recent years, and series creator and former chief writer David Gaider is now pointing the finger directly at EA. In a recent interview, he admitted that as long as EA still cannot understand what really attracts players to “Dragon Age”, it will be difficult for this series to regain its former glory. He even bluntly said that “Dragon Age: The Veilguard” was pushed to failure from the beginning.
EA has no idea what players love
Gaider said that the biggest charm of “Dragon Age” has always been the world view, character creation and player choice, rather than chasing market trends. However, EA has always misjudged the positioning of the series, and even believed that “The Veilguard” did not perform as expected because it was not made into a Live Service game. He disagrees with this idea, and believes that EA has not truly understood why players like “Dragon Age” for many years, and instead has pushed the series in the wrong direction time and time again.

He still wants to save “Dragon Age” himself!
Although Gaider admitted that he would not play “The Veilguard” because it would only make him uncomfortable to see the world he created become what it is now, he also said that if there is a chance to take over “Dragon Age” again in the future, he would still be willing to return and hope to take the series back to its origins of darkness, danger and full of choices, rather than blindly catering to a wider market. It can only be said that players have been shouting “BioWare can’t go back” in recent years, and now even the creators of the series have openly criticized it. It’s no wonder that many old fans just sighed after watching it.
