The Nintendo Direct 2026 continued with an exciting second segment featuring new sports titles, RPG revelations, and some familiar faces returning in unexpected ways. Here’s what stood out.

Sport Resort – All-in-One Sports Collection Arrives

Nintendo announced Sport Resort, an all-in-one sports collection launching June 26, 2026. The game features over 40 sports and activities, from classic favorites like tennis and golf to unconventional options like speedball and hoverboard racing.

Players can customize their resort, unlock new facilities, and compete in tournaments. The game supports both single-player and local multiplayer for up to four players.

Xenoblade Chronicles X Returns as Xenoblade Genesis

Monolith Soft surprised fans with Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition, rebranded as Xenoblade Genesis. The game launches October 1, 2026, bringing the beloved Wii U title to modern hardware with enhanced visuals and expanded content.

New features include updated character models, expanded questlines, and a brand-new chapter exploring the Mira civilization’s origins.

Blades of Rebellion – New RPG from Monolith Soft

Monolith Soft also revealed Blades of Rebellion, an entirely new RPG coming in 2027. The game features an original story with a new cast of characters, set in a world where humanity fights back against mysterious beings called the Fallen.

Donkey Kong Country 4 Announced

After years of speculation, Nintendo officially announced Donkey Kong Country 4, arriving December 18, 2026. The new side-scrolling adventure brings back the classic formula with hand-drawn visuals and modern gameplay twists.

Kong family members Dixie Kong and Kiddy Kong join the adventure, with local co-op for two players.

TLOU Part III? Nope – Instead: Factions Returns

Instead of The Last of Us Part III, Naughty Dog revealed Factions, a standalone multiplayer experience launching November 5, 2026. The game brings the series’ signature survival gameplay to a competitive multiplayer setting.

Players form factions, scavenge for resources, and battle across various maps in team-based and free-for-all modes.

Mario & Luigi: Brothership 2 – Bowser’s Castle Open World
