Is LEGO crazy or am I crazy? The latest set is priced at nearly NT$26,000, which is more expensive than a PS5!

If you thought LEGO’s recent $1,000 Star Wars Death Star was exaggerated enough, now the record has been set. LEGO has officially released the new “Sagrada Família” architectural series model. The total number of parts is as high as 12,060 pieces, directly surpassing all previous official sets and becoming the product with the largest number of parts in LEGO history. The price is also quite astonishing, with the US price reaching US$799.99 (approximately NT$25,900, HK$6,250, RM3,390)!

There are more than 12,000 parts in a box. Players should look for a room first after viewing it.

This work is themed on the famous Spanish landmark Sagrada Familia, and is officially launched to commemorate the centenary of the death of architect Antoni Gaudí. The entire model is more than 60 centimeters tall, recreating the building’s appearance and iconic tower structure. The number of parts alone has exceeded the 12,000 mark, setting a new record for LEGO over the years. For many players, the question is no longer whether to buy it or not, but whether there is room to put it at home. After all, the size of LEGO’s large-scale collection sets has become more and more exaggerated in recent years. From “Titanic” to “Death Star”, even the Sagrada Familia has been developed directly to the exhibition hall level.

Lego is getting bigger and bigger, and players’ wallets are getting more and more painful!

Interestingly, although the price is frighteningly high, the response from the community is not as negative as expected. Some players think that more than 12,000 parts are not outrageous when converted, and some even say that this may be one of the most beautiful LEGO building models in recent years. Of course, many people complain that Lego has gradually transformed from a children’s toy into a luxury collectible for adults. As Lego continues to launch large-scale products that cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars, there is also discussion about whether the brand is fully moving into the adult collectible market. After all, for the average family, the price of a box of Lego can almost buy a game console, or even build half a computer.
