NintendoLife reports that CAPCOM has released a new mode for “Resident Evil Requiem” with a straightforward name: “Leon Must Die Forever”. As the name suggests, the design direction of this mode is highly related to the character of “Leon”, and to some extent pays homage to the tension of survival in the early games of the series.

Leon represents more than just a character, it’s a symbol!
Since the series’ Resident Evil 2, the character of Leon Kennedy has been one of the most iconic symbols of the entire IP. His story line has continued in many works, and the appearance of the element “Must Die” in the title teases, to a certain extent, fans’ long-standing teasing and love for this character.

This new model is part of CAPCOM’s operating strategy
Since the release of “Resident Evil Requiem”, CAPCOM has continued to keep the product topical through updates and new content. For a work that has been launched for some time, this type of limited-time or new mode can attract some old players who have graduated to return.
