Resident Evil Requiem data diggers appear to have found an unused alternate form of the villain “Victor Gideon” in the game’s archives. The article also reminds that the discussion involves the plot of the ending, because it directly touches on the design of Gideon’s transformation in the final sequence.
The villain must become a super monster in the end. It could have been different.
At the end of “Resident Evil Requiem”, the villain will use the power of viruses or parasites to turn himself into a giant monster. This is not unusual in the series; but what is surprising is that Gideon’s final form is revealed to be a Nemesis-style biochemical weapon route. The shape is similar to some elements of the series’ classic pursuers, making the “here we go again” fatigue more obvious.

Multiple faces, multiple limbs, snakes emerging from the flesh
The data mining team (Umeda Japan) stated that they found another version of Gideon’s final form in the archives. Judging from the description, this version is in the direction of splicing alien shapes: it looks like a Chimera, with multiple versions of the face and body structure appearing on the body. There are even snakes growing out of the flesh. Even the snakeskin-style coat on his body can be interpreted as some kind of design extension, rather than a simple styling choice.

There are even more gradual transformation models
There is another model version in the excavation content: Gideon seems to be missing an arm, but a protrusion similar to a single wing appears on his back, suggesting that this direction may have wanted to make the transformation more gradual and stage-like, rather than jumping to a super giant final form all at once.

The most embarrassing point: players actually think it’s cooler to be chopped off
Frankly speaking, it’s unclear why Capcom abandoned this alternate form, and it’s unclear where it went in the development process; but Gideon’s transformation into Nemesis is regarded by some players as one of the least favorite arrangements in the entire game. Now seeing a more innovative alternative that can push the weirdness to the extreme is lying in the archives without use, which only makes people want to ask: What is the choice if this kind of thing is not included in this article?
