The UK physical sales rankings for the latest week are out. After “Resident Evil Requiem” was released on February 27, 2026, it topped the list as expected! This is also Capcom’s most significant hit in the spring of 2026, and its physical performance is quite strong.
According to data, the Switch 2 version accounts for only about 4% of the overall platform sales, ranking the lowest among all major platforms. However, “The Game Business” reporter Christopher Dring pointed out that the sales of this game on Switch 2 are “roughly similar to last year’s Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition.” Although the proportion is not high, as a third-party 3A game in the early stages of launching on a new console, this result is already very good!
It performed better than “Mario Tennis Fever” in its first week, and its physical sales surpassed its predecessor.

Dring also added that the first-week sales performance of “Requiem” was better than that of “Mario Tennis Fever”, and its overall physical sales exceeded “Resident Evil 4 Remake” and “Resident Evil Village”. This is worth noting, because the series remake and the eighth generation have had a good foundation in the past few years, and now the ninth generation can still deliver higher initial results, showing that the brand’s popularity is still stable.
In addition, the Switch 2 exclusive “Resident Evil Generation Pack” bundled version also entered the top ten on the list, ranking third. This edition includes Requiem as well as 7: Biohazard and Village, all available on Game-Key Cards. Although the convenience of Game-Key Card was once questioned by some players, it does not seem to have a significant impact on sales so far.
“Tales of Berseria Remastered” entered the list with a low profile

As for other new games, “Tales of Berseria Remastered” ranked 20th. In terms of platform distribution, Switch accounted for 38%, and PS5 took 54% of sales, becoming the main sales source. In comparison, the popularity of “Requiem” is obviously higher than that of its opponents in the same week.
Overall, the launch cycle of “Resident Evil Requiem” has been stable in the UK market. Although Switch 2 is still a niche game, it is on par with last year’s large third-party works, and it is considered to be on a firm footing.
