Ever since he was a child, Miyauchi Hiroshi had an intuition that he might be quite suitable to be an actor.
Therefore, after graduating from junior high school, I went to visit Mr. Tetsuro Tanba (famous actor, representative of the “Battle Royale” and “Renyi” series, etc.).
Because Miyauchi Hiroshi’s father knew an elder like Tanba Tetsuro’s “adopted father”, he used this relationship to seek advice from Tanba-sensei.
But Teacher Tanba only said to Miyauchi Hiroshi: “You still have a higher degree to go, right?”
In other words, Miyauchi Hiroshi must go to high school first.
Three years later, I went to see Mr. Tanba again. This time he said, “You have higher goals, right?”
It means that Miyauchi Hiroshi should go to college and study hard.
“It’s not about studying film or art, it’s about learning how to talk to society.”
At that time, Miyauchi Hiroshi asked Mr. Tanba: “Then should I study in the Department of Art or Film?”
He shook his head and said, “It’s not that kind of place.”
Mr. Tanba’s idea was: “If you want to be an actor, you must also be prepared for failure. You should have the ability to communicate with society in the future.” So Miyauchi Hiroshi chose Nihon University’s Department of Business.
Later, when Miyauchi Hiroshi graduated from college, he passed the selection of “Toei New Face” and officially entered this industry. Although Miyauchi Hiroshi knew many great people among his seniors, he did not receive any special treatment.
On Toei’s filming set, you won’t be called by your name at all. Whether it’s the director, the cinematographer, or even the seniors from Obeya, they all shout to the newcomers: “Hey, New Face!”
I felt that I didn’t have a good voice as an actor, so I switched to action acting.
But also because of that era when everyone had to do everything, Miyauchi Hiroshi learned many valuable skills.
For example, how to put on straw sandals, how to draw a sword, and how to hold it are all taught by the seniors of Obeya and members of the Sword Club. These were of great help to Miyauchi Hiroshi later on.
On the contrary, Miyauchi Hiroshi’s voice is hoarse and unclear, which is completely different from his teacher, Mr. Tanba, who has a nice voice. Miyauchi Hiroshi realized that for an actor, it was a disadvantage.
Miyauchi Hiroshi was already very active. He started practicing judo and kendo in junior high school, and then learned karate in high school. Therefore, I made up my mind from the beginning to follow the path of “action school”.
The work that debuted was Miyauchi Hiroshi’s second year at Toei.
It was a TV series called “Ah Tadashizo” (Fuji TV).

After that drama ended, I joined the TV series “Key Hunter/キイハンター” (TBS) starring Tetsuro Tanba as a regular actor. This drama was very popular at the time, and it was a great opportunity for Miyauchi Hiroshi.

He said that you should make your movements, breathing, vision, and rhythm look handsome, accurate, and explosive within the four-square frame of the TV or movie. This taught Miyauchi Hiroshi a lot. Movements are not only techniques, but also graphic arts.

For Miyauchi Hiroshi, the turning point in his life was that work: “Kamen Rider V3”!
At that time, Miyauchi Hiroshi chose the starring role of the protagonist of “V3”, but the first “Kamen Rider” was still being aired.
Miyauchi Yo didn’t have time to take a good look at it.
Therefore, Miyauchi Hiroshige bought a video recorder and recorded every episode for research. A video recorder at that time cost 200,000 yen! Very expensive. And it was an open-book tape that cost 10,000 yen to record for 30 minutes. Looking back on it now, is it really an exaggeration? But technology can only do so.
But Miyauchi Hiroshi prepared so carefully because he felt that this role was not played casually.

After the show started, Miyauchi Hiroshi began to train to control the motorcycle with one hand, and then advanced to the point where he could maintain balance with both hands off the handlebars.
