Before BLACK was born in 1987, my favorite Kamen Rider was Knight No. 5-X! Although I already knew about the Seventh Generation of Knights when I was a kid, the 8th, 9th and 10th were also released one after another! But my favorite is X Knight.
When I was in the sixth grade of primary school and first came across this set of pictures, I was shocked. I also saw the existence of numbers 8 and 9.
The biggest reason was that the Kamen Rider TV series was not broadcast in Malaysia at that time. Malaysian audiences could only get a glimpse of Kamen Rider through the Taiwanese version of the “Flash Rider” theatrical version trilogy. Children are always greedy for the new and forget the old, and they all like the latest and greatest! When I was a child, I knew numbers 1 to 6 from the colorful books (AMAZON stopped publishing on the 6th when it was published!). Because I was still young, I was not able to accept the appearance of AMAZON. So I feel that X Knight is the latest and strongest in my era!
Lightning Rider should be the memory of the first generation of RIDER fans in Malaysia.
The Taiwanese version of the “Lightning Rider” theatrical version trilogy is adapted from the theatrical version of No. 1 + No. 2, V3, and X Knight. Since I had only seen these three “Moving Kamen Rider” movies back then, I naturally stuck with him.
Although X Knight is not strictly speaking the first knight to use weapons or be able to use weapons, as the main knight and weapons are standard equipment, X Knight can be said to be the first. Handsomeness is a bonus!
X is a Kaizorg developed from the deep sea. His appearance is a little different from the insect-shaped images of his predecessors. The silver helmet and the mouth no longer have the cracked teeth of insects, but instead refer to the iron masks of the medieval Crusaders.
As for the characteristics of the transformation method, he will use props named “Red Eyzer (Red Eyepiece)” and “Perfecter (Perfecter)” and perform the “Set-Up (Set-Up)” action. First, he holds Red Eyzer in his right hand and Perfecter in his left hand, and his body from the neck down becomes an X shape. Then, Red Eyzer covered X’s face as a mask, and finally Perfecter was put on his mouth to complete the transformation.

But despite this, dedicated actors sometimes wear leather cases themselves. No. 2 Sasaki and V3 Miyauchi Hiroshi have both worn them! No. 4 Needless to say, most of the RIDERMAN scenes in the V3 drama require Akira Yamaguchi to star in person. However, Hayami Ryo only needs to put on the leather suit when transforming into Just use this screen as a dual-purpose card every time you transform.
X’s Nemesis: Apollo Geist
X’s old enemy Apollo Geist even more clearly displays the iron mask of the medieval Crusaders, and Apollo Geist, who is set to regenerate later, also needs X’s “Perfecter” to maintain his life! As for the new version of Apollo Geist that appeared in DCD, the vertical silver piece in the center of the head has become Apollo Geist’s Perfecter, which can absorb people’s life force.
X’s combat abilities and equipment
When fighting, in addition to unarmed combat skills, you can also use the universal weapon “Ridol” that can transform into four forms. Depending on the characteristics of the enemy and the battle situation, you can choose the form of the stick-type “Ridol Stick (Ridol Stick)” or the stabbing sword-type “Ridol Whip (Ridol Whip)” to flexibly switch fighting methods.
Its special move is the powerful flying kick “X Kick”. He will first throw the Ridol Stick into the air and fix it horizontally on the ground, then grab it with both hands and spin it at high speed like a horizontal bar. After accelerating, he jumped into the air, spread his limbs widely, and drew an “X” shape. Nunchaku?
This is the 33rd episode where a large number of GOD troops and weirdos wearing Tang suits were seen holding nunchucks as weapons. They were taken away by the X Knight and used as weapons. X Knight was a work in 1974, and ULTRAMAN LEO was also a work in 1974. Both were inspired by the craze of Bruce Lee in Japan at that time and used nunchaku weapons.
Obtained Mercury circuit upgrade and transformation from predecessor V3
After being defeated in the battle with “Kumo Napoleon” of the GOD Villain Legion and losing his ability to fight, he was implanted with the “Mercury Circuit” by Kamen Rider V3 (Shiro Kazami), thereby gaining “Mercury Power” and completing the upgrade in combat power. He will quickly sneak into the enemy’s arms and grab the opponent tightly, then spin at extremely high speed, constantly hitting the enemy’s head on the ground, and finally throw it into the air, and give the final blow with X Kick.
Cruiser
His exclusive ride is the super high-performance motorcycle “Cruiser” developed by Keitaro Kami, which can freely ride on land, sea and air. In the show, it’s the deep sea that washes up on the coast! In the manga version by Kenichi Edamura, you can even drive on water. Among the Five Knights of Lightning in Taiwan, this cruiser is named “Sun”! At the end, you can even fly in the air and fire cannonballs.
The last time the cruiser appeared was in the theatrical version of SKY RIDER.

Heisei Knights vs. Showa Knights Kamen Rider Taisen feat.SUPER Sentai: Hayami Ryo once again plays Kami Keisuke, and Heisei Knights 555 has interactive scenes. If you have read the tokusatsu memoirs I wrote before, because X Knight was the latest knight that I didn’t read in elementary school when I was a child. I was exposed to the latest knight on the screen. After that, I only saw it in print from the 6th to the 10th. Therefore, X Knight has been the best knight in my mind for a long time. BLACK & RX were launched in Japan in 1987 and 1988. I came into contact with book introductions in 1989. After watching the video in about 1991, the new era style of BLACK and RX replaced X in my mind. (So X played a big role in my childhood!)
